Progress

Tonight Phil left Jackson alone in his chair for a few seconds to go get Caelyn.  He also left Jackson's bowl on his tray.  This time he didn't make as big a mess.

Sitting Up

I have been pretty much convinced that Jackson will never sit up, not because he can't, but because sitting still doesn't get you anywhere.  He has been scooting around and Army crawling for about a month now, but has had no real interest in sitting up.  He even gets up on his hands and knees, he doesn't know what do do with it and ends up nose diving into the floor, but none the less he tries.

Today we had some progress, he stayed up long enough for me to get the camera.

However, he doesn't like it when he falls over.

Princess Caelyn

Last night our local Chick-fil-a had Princess and Super Hero night.  Translation: free food and fun.  Caelyn got dressed up in her best princess duds and off we went.  I forgot my camera while we were there, but here are the pictures I snapped before we left.

Today Jackson turns 6 months old.  It has been quite the adventure and worth every minute!

Taking Initiative

Jackson has been sick for the last few days and really not interested in eating "solid" foods.  We have being trying to get him to eat, but he really didn't want it.  By that I mean, start screaming and letting the food slide out of his mouth.

Since he is feeling better I decided to try again today.  He wasn't really into the first few bites, but wasn't screaming.  Not thinking I left to help Caelyn in the bathroom and left the bowl of squash sitting on his tray.

When I came back, this is what I saw.

I guess he got tired of having to wait for me to feed him.

The bowl and the spoon were there too, but I removed them before any more damage was done while I went to get my camera.

Merry Christmas!

So, it has been a while since I last posted.  Things have been pretty busy around here and they aren't slowing down for a little bit.  Here is our Christmas card/summary of our year.  I still have Christmas cards to mail, but I ran out of stamps.  I also have pictures to post, but we still haven't found the cable to download the pictures.  We will find it eventually, but for now here is our card.

He's Here

Ok, so he has been here for almost a week, but this is the first time I have had time to sit down and actually right about it.  This won't be long because Jackson is starting to stir in his crib.  Yes, his crib! Caelyn wasn't a fan of her crib, so we are starting out early this time with hopes it will go smoothly.

We are so in love with him and Caelyn is a fantastic big sister.  She loves her little brother so much and wants to spend as much time with him as possible.  I know that will soon change, but I am enjoying the happy moments we have together.
